Summary As a result of industrialization, an increasing proportion of China’s cultivated land is being urbanized, causing considerable environmental damage. In an endeavour to promote a low-carbon economy, this article focuses on modeling the carbon budget resulting from the industrialization and urbanization of farmland from 1996 to 2020, using empirical analysis and a dynamic system.
